GMedAC Journal is an editorial publication about finding, choosing and receiving healthcare. It is published by GMedAC, and it is separate from the GMedAC marketplace in every way that can be made separate: a different repository, a different deployment, a different release cycle, and no access whatsoever to the marketplace's data.
What this publication is not
It is not a clinic. It is not a healthcare provider. It is not a medical record system, a diagnostic tool, a symptom checker, a treatment recommender, or a channel for talking to a clinician. It is not an emergency or crisis service, and it cannot respond to one.
It does not rank professionals, and it never will. GMedAC's marketplace ranks professionals by verification, licence and jurisdiction, and a rule enforced by a test keeps commercial conditions out of that ranking. An editorial page that recommended individual professionals would route around that rule rather than respect it, so this publication has no "best doctors" section and no equivalent of one under another name.
What GMedAC is
GMedAC is a healthcare discovery and transactional marketplace. It helps a patient find a verified professional, helps a professional find their first patient, and owns the administration around the consultation: verification, jurisdiction-aware eligibility, booking, payment, reminders and repeat bookings.
The consultation itself happens outside GMedAC. The professional decides whether to accept a patient, what the consultation contains, how long it lasts, and everything clinical that follows from it. GMedAC holds no clinical record and issues no clinical document.
What "verified" means here
A verification badge on the marketplace means somebody checked a document at a moment in time. It is not permission to practise, it is not an endorsement, and it is not a statement about anybody's clinical quality. This publication uses the word in that narrow sense and nowhere widens it.
Who is responsible
Every article names an author. Articles that make clinical claims name a reviewer whose recorded qualifications cover the subject, and the publication build refuses to produce a page for a high-risk clinical article that does not have one. Articles that make jurisdiction-specific legal claims name a reviewer qualified in that jurisdiction.
Author and reviewer records are not decoration and are not invented. Each one records where a stated credential can be checked, and where no public register exists, it records how the credential was verified instead.
Corrections
When this publication gets something wrong, the correction says what the article used to say, in the words it used, next to what it says now. Corrections are listed on their own page and are not removed when they become old. A publication that silently edits a medical or legal conclusion has told its earlier readers nothing.
